Michael Dahmen studied mechanical engineering and mechanics at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany and at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. Working with Hoechst AG in Frankfurt am Main and with Dornier Satellitensystem GmbH in Friedrichshafen, he gained practical experience in the fields of manufacturing methods, plant engineering and light weight construction using fiber reinforced materials. Michael Dahmen started his education in the field of intellectual property as a trainee in a major international law firm in Munich. In 2000 he moved to Frankfurt am Main, and is now a partner with Keil & Schaafhausen. Michael Dahmen is a member of GRUR, VPP and FICPI. He gave seminars preparing for the qualification examination of European Patent Attorneys (CEIPI-seminar) at the Robert Schuman University, Strasbourg and is involved in the advancement of Intellectual Property as a member of the Design Committee of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys and as a delegate of the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys (Bundesverband Deutscher Patentanwälte e.V.). Michael Dahmen is married and has three children.
