Philipp Horsch studied Chemistry with focus in Macromolecular Chemistry at Philipps-Universität Marburg. As a visiting researcher at the Australian National University, he gained detailed insights in the field of organic chemistry. During his diploma thesis, Philipp Horsch has co-developed a new analytical method for the distinction of chiral molecules using ultrashort laser pulses. His following dissertation extended and improved said method, which was also successfully applied as patent. Philipp Horsch is married and has three children.
