Nanno Lenz re-elected as President of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys

Our partner Nanno Lenz has been re-elected for a further term of office as President of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys. We congratulate him on this great sign of confidence in his work and wish him continued success in this responsible position.

Keil & Schaafhausen und Dr. Knoblauch Patentanwälte PartGmbB haved merged

We are delighted to announce that Keil & Schaafhausen has merged with the Frankfurt patent law firm Dr. Knoblauch Patentanwälte PartGmbB.

For years we have had a cooperative friendship with the law firm Dr. Knoblauch. Patent attorney Dr.-Ing. Andreas Knoblauch will join our team as a proven expert in the rapidly growing fields of electrical and mechanical engineering. Patent attorney Dr.-Ing. Dorothea Knoblauch will support you not only in trademark and design law but is also experienced in mediation.

Our common goal remains to advise our clients on a broad basis and with the highest quality standards. Our structure and our highly qualified staff ensure that we will support you even more flexibly and efficiently.

2016

Nanno Lenz new President of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys

After having served for 16 years on the Board of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys (Patentanwaltskammer) our partner Nanno Lenz was now elected as President of the Patentanwaltskammer (see press release of the Patentanwaltskammer dated 14th January 2016). We congratulate him to his election into this important office.

Fundamental changes in European trademark law

On March 23, 2016, the new European Union trademark regulation will come into force and "Community trademarks" will become "European Union trademarks" (for the most relevant changes, please see our client information).

2015

New legal form: Keil & Schaafhausen is now a partnership with limited liability

We would like to inform you that our law firm Keil & Schaafhausen has changed its legal form into a partnership with limited liability, in German legal terms a "Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Berufshaftung", abbreviated as "PartGmbB".

The partnership "PartGmbB" is a modern legal form which was created by the legislator specifically for the self-employed professions.

We look forward to continuing our successful and well established relationship with you and your company.
